A vast development of the Frac reserves occupies the Carquefou site until its reopening scheduled for the end of 2020.

The reserves designed specifically as a research and conservation laboratory and which extend over 600 m2 under the main building, now require redevelopment, as the collection are steadily increasing and the problems of restoration and conservation are evolving.
